The Fourth Annual Moot Court Competition will take place on October 11, 2008 (2nd Saturday in October).

ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Teams of two to five students come to the Contra Costa County Courthouse (A.F. Bray Courts, 1010 Ward Street) in Martinez, CA on a Saturday in October to present their oral arguments before three-judge courts (made up of attorneys and judges). The format will be similar to CRF's Mock Trial pretrial motion. Each team will have two chances to present—once per side. Then we'll have the semifinal and championship rounds, lunch and awards. Entry fee is $25 per participant (includes snacks, pizza and a T-Shirt). Schools may have more than one team. The competition runs from 8:30 AM to about 3:30 PM.

FREE TRAINING AND INFORMATION SESSION!
Want to learn more about the competition and ask the authors questions? Then come to the training and information session on Saturday, September 27 at the John Muir Medical Center, Concord Campus (formerly called Mt. Diablo Hospital) from 10 AM to noon in the Martinez Room.

We will go over the case and rules and answer any questions you may have. There is no cost. Students, coaches, parents and anyone interested in Moot Court is welcome.
